Lead by the Heart

My spark of inspiration to embark on this journey was ignited by a 7 year old’s words of wisdom. Overhearing me say that I was not an artist, my daughter said “Mum, you said I could be anything I wanted with passion and hardwork, so why can’t you?” Wise words from a young child. So, here I am putting my heart and soul out there in the hope that my art can spread as much joy to you as I get from creating it. I feel a strong connection to the native flora and fauna of New Zealand and you will see my affection for our countries unique eclectic mix of species woven throughout my work
